We are exited to announce that in the 2025/26 School year we will be offering the inaugural round of a teacher award to celebrate the amazing work that our community of teachers do across the country.

The application window will be Jan 1 2026 through Mar 31 2026 so keep your eyes peeled for the nomination form then!
What you need to know:

Criteria

Any teacher across the country who is currently participating in either LGS or LGT will be eligible.

One LGT and one LGS teacher will be chosen by an awards committee.

The winners will be the teachers who most exemplify the LGT and LGS spirit and go above and beyond to bring their gardens to life in their classroom in innovative ways.

Prize

One LGS and one LGT teacher will win:

• $500 gift card for classroom supplies.
• One brand new LGS garden kit to either keep for their classroom or to give to a new LGS teacher of their choice.
• A national feature celebrating their achievements.

Nominations

Anyone can nominate!

Teachers are welcome to self nominate!

Regional Coordinators, teachers, principals, and even students and parents are welcome to nominate the teacher that they think is digging deep and planting the seeds of success!

Nomination forms will be available Jan 1 2026 through Mar 31 2026 so keep an eye out for further info!
